Casey Perisin is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and owner of DBT Institute of Central Illinois. She has over a decade of experience working with teens, college students, and adults through various individual and group modalities. Casey specializes with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidality, self-injury, family of origin problems, childhood trauma, binge eating disorder, and phase of life concerns. Her approach is relational, genuine, active, collaborative, and warm.

Dr. Perisin is a DBT Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician (TM). Extensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Casey works collaboratively with her clients to identify, create, and walk down a more effective life path. Casey enjoys utilizing the principles and approaches embodied within DBT to help clients build awareness and increase the acceptance needed to effectively change and fulfill their life goals. While DBT is her “home base” she believes that treatment needs to meet the personality and learning styles of the client; therefore, she also draws from mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic therapies as well as provides environmental consultation and skill building through parent coaching. Casey aims to help clients resolve their presenting concerns while building upon and utilizing their strengths to live genuinely with clarity, balance, and purpose.

Casey received her B.S. in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago in 2009. She completed her Masters in Clinical Professional Psychology at Roosevelt University in 2011. After becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, she practiced as a Master’s level therapist throughout her doctoral education.
